Role Overview :
The Director of Clinical Operations provides leadership and oversight for Eon's Care Management teams, including Patient Advocacy Coordinators (PAC), Navigators, team leads, and supervisors. The Director of Clinical Operations is responsible for driving efficiency, standardization, and scalability across all operational teams that interact with healthcare clients and internal departments. The ideal candidate is a seasoned leader who is team-focused, detail-oriented, proficient in data analysis, and passionate about improving internal processes to enhance team efficiency and customer satisfaction.
This role focuses on workflow optimization, process management, and team development to ensure alignment with client-approved protocols and industry best practices. The role is responsible for driving efficiency, standardization, and scalability across all operational teams that interact with healthcare clients and internal departments. The role focuses on strategic leadership, personnel management, and operational excellence rather than direct patient care or clinical decision-making.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide operational oversight and leadership for the PAC team and Navigators.
- Standardize workflows and processes across Care Management teams to enhance efficiency and adherence to client-approved protocols.
- Ensure quality assurance measures are consistently applied to all patient communication, workflow implementation, and navigator functions.
- Support cross-department collaboration between Care Management team and internal departments.
- Support the team as needed to obtain desired operational results.
- Collaborate with leadership to forecast budgets and align resource allocation with department needs.
- Serve as the primary interface between Eon and our external clients and partners.
- Develop and refine workflows, protocols, and KPIs to optimize performance across teams.
- Ensure workflow consistency.
- Drive the growth and scalability of navigation services through process improvement and continual improvements in workflows.
- Facilitate continuous improvement, gathering feedback from clients and internal teams to optimize operational performance.
- Hire, train, and manage team members, ensuring their development aligns with operational goals.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide structured feedback to all team members under the Director's leadership.
- Monitor vendor expenses and assist in evaluating cost-efficiency for tools and technologies used by the team.
- Promote professional growth, providing mentorship and career development pathways for team members.
- Lead departmental meetings to align teams on goals, performance targets, and new initiatives.
- Act as the primary liaison between the Care Management team and Eon's Chief Administrative Officer.
- Support the reporting on team performance, project milestones, and operational metrics, ensuring transparency and accountability across the department.
- Collaborate with the Product, Engineering, and Client Success teams to align operational workflows with ongoing product enhancements.
- Support the hand off process from implementations to CM to ensure continued client success post go live.
- Collaborate with the client success team on business review preparation, client dashboard health and overall client relationship.
Knowledge & Skills :
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Management, or related field (Master's degree preferred).Minimum of 6 years of experience in healthcare operations, patient advocacy, or workflow implementation leadership.Experience with working and collaborating with physician practices and clinicians.Proven ability to lead and develop large, cross-functional teams in healthcare technology or care management environments.Strong organizational and communication skills, with expertise in process optimization and workflow standardization.Experience with data-driven performance management, KPI tracking, and quality assurance.Ability to work collaboratively across departments and manage teams in remote and on-site environments.Proficiency in technology platforms commonly used in healthcare operations.Experience in managing clinical technology implementations or healthcare project management teams (preferred).Reporting Structure :
Reports to the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO).Location :

This is a non-clinical, operational leadership role providing oversight for Care Management team. The Director ensures adherence to client-approved workflows and protocols, while clinical decision-making and patient care remain the responsibility of licensed healthcare providers. The Director role does not involve direct patient care, diagnosis, or treatment decisions. Any issues requiring clinical expertise are escalated appropriately. Clinical Workflow Specialists and Navigators operate within pre-defined workflows and protocols that have been approved by clients.
