About the Role

As a Middle School English Language Arts (ELA) Teacher , you will ignite a passion for literature and foster an engaging classroom culture. You will guide students through the socio-emotional changes of middle school, emphasizing writing and discourse to empower them to find their voice. With a focus on research-based instructional strategies, you will help students develop reading comprehension and academic autonomy, preparing them for the challenges of high school and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

1. Instruction

• Empower students by teaching an inclusive, culturally responsive curriculum that promotes equitable outcomes.
• Guide students in analyzing texts, assessing authorial intent, and engaging in meaningful discourse.
• Create a safe and inclusive environment where students can express their authentic voices.
• Encourage independent reading by helping students select books that spark their interests.

1-2 years of experience impacting K-12 students in urban schools and communities preferred.

Benefits & Compensation

Compensation : The salary for this role ranges from $50,000 to $64,700, based on factors such as relevant teaching experience and education certifications.
