About The Position

Centra Healthcare Solutions is seeking an experienced Special Education Teacher (SPED) that is certified in the state of practice to work in a school setting. This is a contract, full time position. Schedule : Monday / Thursday / Fridays - 8-3 : 30, Tuesday / Wednesdays- 8-430 Requirements include : Candidates must have recent, hands-on classroom experience (within the last 2-3 years) working directly with students with significant developmental, behavioral, or communication needs. Experience must include classroom management, curriculum planning, lesson delivery, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. Candidates who have only served in supportive or case management roles (e.g., data collection, IEP coordination, liaison work) will not be considered. Must have verifiable experience teaching and implementing instruction, not just monitoring or observing students. Resumes should clearly outline specific classroom responsibilities (e.g., managing behavior plans, leading group instruction, adapting curriculum). Recent DOE or charter school experience strongly preferred. Valid Teacher Certification. Mist have Master s in Special Education or enrolled in a Master s program for SPED.
