The Veterinary Teaching Hospital (VTH) Technician Manager will oversee and supervise service technician supervisors / team leaders and partner with faculty service leaders.
They will work closely with Hospital Leadership and Service Core Managers Anesthesia, Imaging) to integrate best practices and routines throughout the hospital.
They will collaborate across service / units and provide leadership support and guidance. They will also establish clearly defined short and long-term objectives for their direct reports and serves as a facilitator of written and verbal communication in a timely and effective manner.
Successful candidate should have flexibility with their schedule to meet the needs of 24 / 7 operations.

- 3 years of leadership / supervisory experience
- 5 years of veterinary experience
- Registered Veterinary Technician
- Bachelors degree in a health, life science, or closely related field.
- Substitutions for the Bachelors degree : Associates Degree plus 7 years of relevant experienceHS diploma / GED plus 9 years of relevant experience

- Directs, mentors, and advises supervisors on staffing and workflows to provide optimal patient care throughout the hospital.
- Collaborates with HR department to ensure that supervisors / leaders are providing thoughtful reviews / performance evaluations.

- Partners with TAC and oversees veterinary technician / veterinary assistant continuing education efforts and develops new opportunities as well as refining prior efforts.
