Responsibilities

Under general supervision, the mechanically savvy individual we seek will perform a variety of electrical, plumbing and carpentry work, handle general building issues and ensure all equipment runs properly and efficiently.

Responsibilities include :

Completing work orders involving the replacement of electrical components, repairing plumbing fixtures, repairing / replacing ceiling tiles, repairing leaking roofs, general carpentry, and other related activities.

• Building new storage space, office space, sidewalks, retaining walls, and hallways.
• Inspecting rooftops, walls, walkways, light fixtures, windows, drains, etc, for preventive maintenance needs.
• Troubleshooting and performing various electrical work.
• Locating the cause of general building and process system malfunctions.
• Handling various plumbing tasks involving a variety of materials (copper, PVC, brass and stainless materials).
• Evaluating refrigeration system performance and making necessary repairs.
• Organizing work assignments and small projects where more than one mechanic is needed.
• Monitor Building management System (BMS) and Isensix System.
• Maintaining all records and logs.
• Preparing various reports.
• Handling other related functions as needed.

NOTE :

The mechanic will rotate with other mechanics and be "on call".

Position is overtime eligible and also offers a shift incentive.

For applicants who will perform this position in New York City or Westchester County, the proposed hourly salary is $29.00 / hr. to $33.00 / hr. For applicants who will perform this position outside of New York City or Westchester County, salary will reflect local market rates and be commensurate with the applicant's skills, job-related knowledge, and experience.

Unless otherwise specified, all posted opportunities are located in the New York or Greather Tri-State office locations.
