ROLE SUMAMRY

The Sr. CNC Machinist is responsible to run a 3-machine cell center of CNC Lathes and / or a small cell of CNC Mills. Ability to multi-task running and being responsible for multiple machines concurrently. Work collaboratively with other machinists to hand off machines to operators, or assist others in setups and solving technical issues as needed.

Responsibilities :

• Set up and operate a variety of CNC equipment performing various procedures on first and subsequent operations
• Set up and be in charge of CNC Haas Lathes and Mills, with multi-axis machines
• Making own set-ups in low volume / high mix environment
• Design and fabrication of a wide variety of tools and fixtures that are used in the manufacture of various component parts and assemblies
• Work from verbal instructions, drawings, and specifications
• Use independent judgment and high technical skill, plus a good knowledge of shop mathematics and practices
• Lay out work using knowledge of parts, engineering practices, and design
• Designs should be such that parts can be produced practically and economically
