Senior Civil Designer | Ontario, CA

IMEG is seeking a Senior Civil Designer to join our Civil team in Ontario, California . In this role, you will lead the design and delivery of large, complex civil engineering projects, working closely with engineers, consultants, and clients to provide advanced engineering solutions and ensure project success. You will oversee project direction, perform advanced analysis, and review the work of others, while mentoring junior staff and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Principal Responsibilities

• Lead design efforts for civil engineering projects based on written scope, utilizing engineering software and tools to create detailed designs, specifications, and calculations according to code requirements and IMEG standards.
• Perform site assessments and generate detailed analysis and technical reports.
• Interact with clients to understand needs, gather project requirements, and communicate technical information effectively; build and maintain client relationships through professional communication.
• Provide in-process design reviews of civil engineering projects, calculations, specifications, and project correspondence; implement IMEG quality control processes to ensure engineering designs and solutions meet IMEG quality standards, industry standards, and client requirements.
• Provide technical training and mentoring; offer technical assistance in resolution of field issues with minimal support from senior staff.
• Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in civil engineering; contribute to research, development, and innovation efforts within IMEG.
• Prioritize safety and regulatory compliance in all aspects of engineering work; interpret state and local design criteria and apply it to specific project needs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including other engineers, architects, and project managers, to deliver integrated solutions that meet project goals.
• Participate in project interviews and project presentations.

Salary Ranges (by state, in compliance with local laws) :

State of California Salary Range : $95,000 - $120,000

Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay will be based on several factors including experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant. Other rewards may include annual bonuses and stock ownership options.
