We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Director to join our team! The Warehouse Director is responsible for developing and executing the long-term vision and strategy for Warehouse and Traffic operations. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient handling, staging, shipping, receiving, and storage of complex client and company inventory to meet the demands of hundreds of custom tradeshows and events on an annual basis. The Warehouse Director establishes high standards for accuracy, safety, and accountability. This position must drive process improvements while aligning operations with company goals and client satisfaction. The person we are seeking for this position must have proven ability to lead large teams and complex projects.

Strategic Responsibilities :

Strategic Planning

  • Develop long term strategy for warehouse operations that aligns with overall company objectives.

Operational Organization & Efficiency

  • Assess current warehouse layout, workflows, and processes; design and implement reorganization to improve material flow, reduce bottlenecks, and minimize wasted motion / time. Develop and deploy standardized operating procedures (SOPs) to create consistency across warehouse functions.
  • Performance Measurement

  • Define and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) for warehouse operations (e.g., productivity, accuracy, overtime hours, safety incidents).
  • Track project performance against budgets.
  • Labor Optimization

  • Implement labor planning, scheduling, and resource allocation strategies to balance workloads and reduce costs.
  • Explore opportunities for automation or technology adoption to improve throughput.
  • Retention

  • Partner with HR to reduce turnover by creating clear job expectations, recognition programs, and career growth pathways for warehouse staff.
  • Establish an employee feedback loop to identify and address workplace issues quickly.
  • Training & Development

  • Build a structured onboarding and training program for all warehouse roles.
  • Communication & Collaboration

  • Establish consistent communication channels between warehouse team
  • Foster a culture of accountability and teamwork by clarifying roles, responsibilities, and expectations.
  • Continuous Improvement & Change Management

  • Introduce lean principles and continuous improvement initiatives to drive ongoing efficiency gains.
  • Lead change management efforts to ensure new processes and tools are properly implemented.
  • Key Responsibilities :

  • Oversee warehouse operations to ensure all tasks are completed accurately and on schedule.
  • Collaborate closely with the Traffic Department and review the Master Shipping Calendar to align labor and resources with shipping deadlines.
  • Ensure the warehouse operates with optimal efficiency, safety, and accuracy, with client satisfaction as the top priority.
  • Oversee the daily, weekly, and long-term workflows of all warehouse operations, including inbound and outbound freight, inventory management, and show preparation.
  • Lead project planning in partnership with Account Services, Production, and Design teams, ensuring show schedules are met and that shipments are accurate and timely.
  • Implement tracking tools and documented procedures to reduce errors, increase accuracy, and ensure accountability in packing, labeling, and staging of freight. Analyze data regularly to identify trends and prevent recurring mistakes or missed items.
  • Develop, document, and implement operational processes that improve efficiency, accountability, safety, and consistency across all areas of the warehouse. Ensure these processes are clearly communicated and regularly reviewed for improvements.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously refine standard operating procedures (SOPs) for warehouse operations including shipping, receiving, staging, labeling, and storage.
  • Monitor space utilization, equipment usage, staffing plans, and throughput to ensure deadlines and quality standards are consistently achieved.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to align departmental strategies with overall company goals, including growth initiatives, efficiency targets, and client service improvements.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy by implementing systems for inventory tracking, quality control, labeling, and reporting.
  • Proactively identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies and implement corrective measures to streamline operations.
  • Maintain and enforce safety procedures in accordance with OSHA standards and CenterPoint policies; serve as a lead member of the Safety Committee.
  • Oversee inspections and maintenance of warehouse equipment, including forklifts, dock door and racking systems; coordinate with the Production Manager on repair schedules and safety compliance.
  • Support large or complex event schedules with hands-on involvement during peak demand periods, including extended hours and urgent shipment coordination when needed.
  • Lead department meetings and represent warehouse operations in company-wide production and planning meetings, including a twice-weekly production review.
  • Monitor labor utilization and project fulfillment reports; adjust resources and workflows to optimize outcomes.
  • Lead warehouse readiness for external client visits and internal audits.
  • What we're looking for :

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field preferred.
  • Seven or more years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least three in a senior or director-level leadership role.
  • Tradeshow or event industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Valid forklift license (or willingness to obtain); CenterPoint will maintain certification and provide testing as required.
  • Extensive knowledge of warehouse logistics, inventory management, and tradeshow or event operations.
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Software (WMS) and Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel.
  • Ability to lead teams with confidence, delegate effectively, and coach staff at all levels.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and adapt in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally with multiple departments and stakeholders.
  • Physical Requirements :

  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.
  • Must be able to work in various weather conditions and temperatures in the warehouse and on the loading dock.
  • Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods during site walkthroughs and peak periods.

    Pay : $105,000-$130,000 annually
