The Lead Medical Coordinator will collaborate closely with program leadership, medical teams, and external partners to maintain a culture of accountability and high-quality care. If you thrive on improving systems, leading with integrity, and strengthening services that directly support vulnerable children, this role offers a meaningful opportunity to make an impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and conduct regular internal medical audits to assess documentation, reporting accuracy, and adherence to all medical policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain audit tools, tracking systems, and corrective action plans to address and resolve compliance gaps.
  • Monitor federal, state, and local regulatory changes to ensure all medical practices and organizational policies remain up to date.
  • Provide staff training, guidance, and ongoing communication on updated medical policies, procedures, and industry best practices.
  • Partner with program leadership to ensure medical operations fully meet ORR, licensing, and organizational requirements.
  • Maintain meticulous and organized records of audits, findings, and corrective measures.
  • Serve as the point of contact for medical compliance during reviews, inspections, and licensing visits.
  • Support quality improvement initiatives by identifying trends, risks, and opportunities to strengthen medical operations.
  • Mentor and support medical coordinators and other program staff to ensure consistency, accuracy, and accountability in service delivery.
  • Prepare clear, actionable reports for leadership highlighting audit results, compliance status, and recommendations for improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
  • 35 years of experience in medical coordination, healthcare compliance, or quality assurance.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, licensing standards, and compliance practices.
  • Proven experience conducting audits and implementing corrective action plans.
  • Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly present findings and recommendations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Salary : $115K
