A bit about us :

I’m working with a top Fort Lauderdale defense firm on a Legal Assistant / Paralegal opening (we are flexible on title based on candidate preference) supporting one of their most respected (and busiest) trial attorneys at this 50+ attorney law firm.

About the Attorney :

A general liability defense attorney who handles a mix of insurance defense, personal injury, auto, wrongful death, premises liability, and medical malpractice (the firm is shifting more of that med mal volume to him since he’s one of their few attorneys capable of taking those cases first chair).

He used to manage 100+ files, but now it’s closer to 30+ high-exposure, complex matters — meaning a ton of moving parts, coordination, filings, and scheduling. He’s extremely hands-on and prefers to draft everything himself (discovery, subpoenas, pleadings) so he can stay on top of every case detail.

What he does need is a strong, detail-oriented, and dependable Legal Assistant who can take full ownership of the administrative side — e-filing, calendaring, discovery coordination, trial prep organization, and keeping his workflow smooth.

This person should be hungry, organized, and eager to please — someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, holds themselves to a high standard, and genuinely wants to make their attorney’s life easier. He’s very direct, has a sharp sense of humor (the occasional “did he just say that?” moment — just brutally honest and sarcastic), and is genuinely one of the top litigators in his firm.

Onsite in Fort Lauderdale, Monday–Friday, 9–5.
