Neuro IMC Description

Join the exceptional nursing team on the Neurosciences and Stroke Intermediate Care Unit (S3-2) at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital , located in the state-of-the-art Verstandig Pavilion on the Georgetown University campus . This unit features all-private rooms and advanced medical technology to support innovative, high-quality care .

S3-2 is a 28-bed unit and is certified by The Joint Commission as a Comprehensive Stroke Center -one of only 156 in the nation . It shares a floor with a dedicated Neuro ICU , enabling seamless transitions between levels of care.

As part of the nationally recognized Neurosciences Center of Excellence , this unit offers nurses the chance to apply critical care skills in a less acute environment . Nurses care for ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke patients , along with neurosurgery and neurology patients who require telemetry monitoring .

Flexible scheduling available-including PRN options.

Key Responsibilities

As a Clinical Nurse you will deliver proficient nursing care to patients and families whose needs range from uncomplicated to highly complex. You will identify current and potential complex problems of specific patient populations and critically analyzes trends and changes in patient status and plans appropriate interventions directly or indirectly through other nurses.
