Surgery Coordinator
JOB SUMMARY : This individual is responsible for coordination of surgery scheduling including pre-op, procedure, and post op and assisting in the development and implementation of practice marketing and business development of ophthalmology surgical care.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :
1. High School Diploma.
2. One to two years of ophthalmic / optometric experience preferred.
3. One to two years of sales experience preferred.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of ophthalmology procedures.
- Computer literacy.
- Team orientation.
- Strong organization with attention to detail.
- Highly professional image.
- Management of multiple projects simultaneously.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Communicate with surgical facilities, patient insurance companies, doctors and patients for scheduling and performance of surgery.
- Develops and maintains an internal patient database; identifies target patients for mailings and telephone calls.
- Implements the marketing objectives and motivates support staff to participate.
- Acts as key contact person for surgical vendors and surgery inquiries, including those from patients, physicians, and staff members.
- Implements process for co-management of patients, including pre and post op instruction.
- Front desk support and backup.
- Proficient use of our software programs.
- Perform other related duties as required.
