Senior Project Manager - Business Operations, Data Center Security
The Senior Project Manager - Business Operations, Data Center Security oversees and manages critical business operations for data center security initiatives within Global Physical Security (GPS) Data Center Operations. This role drives project success by managing supplier relationships, coordinating project milestones, and ensuring proactive communication across internal and external stakeholders. The manager evaluates and enhances supplier performance, aligns project outcomes with operational objectives, and works to identify and mitigate risks in special projects. Acting as a central contact for teams and suppliers, this leader supports operational excellence, delivers high-quality project outcomes, and adapts to evolving business requirements in close collaboration with organizational leadership. This role reports directly to the Director, Business Operations Global Physical Security.
Responsibilities :
- Oversee and manage business operations for security related projects within Data Center Operations, ensuring effective project execution.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between internal teams (e.g., physical security, data center operations, business leaders) and external suppliers.
- Coordinate and track project milestones, ensuring timelines, deliverables, and objectives are met.
- Manage and strengthen supplier relationships, including evaluating performance and driving ongoing improvements.
- Facilitate clear and proactive communication among stakeholders to support project alignment and success.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to special projects within data center security operations.
- Analyze operational performance and recommend process improvements to achieve business objectives.
- Collaborate closely with Managers and Directors to ensure operational continuity and responsiveness to evolving business needs.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.
- Prepare and present regular project updates and reports to leadership.
- Work closely with suppliers, Global Physical Security, Procurement, Legal, and Contract Management teams to facilitate timely and precise contract execution.
- Coordinate supplier onboarding and set-up, requisition creation, and purchase order transfers to support procurement operations globally.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Director, Business Operations Global Physical Security.
- Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others.
Key Skills and Qualifications :
8+ years of managing business operations or projects, especially within large-scale, enterprise, or data center environmentsBachelors degree in business administration, supply chain, operations, security management or relatedExperience managing supplier / vendor relationships, negotiating terms, and optimizing supplier performanceStrong communication and presentation skillsCan present complex financial issues in a clear, logical and accurate fashion to non-finance executivesComfortable leading multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environmentThe ability to resolve non-routine complex issues using in-depth decision makingRelationship management skills strongly desired.
