The successful candidate :

Assumes the responsibility of the job description for the professional clinical registered nurse and the position-specific requirements of the clinical area assigned.

Willingness and ability to provide flexible staffing needs in order to meet the needs of the patient care areas (Refer to CRC Guidelines and Expectations).

Ability to interpret and operate cardiac and other invasive and noninvasive monitors, recognize normal / abnormal rhythms / trends, and institute appropriate interventions

Attend in house codes and rapid response calls as required

Caring for patients with complex needs including hemodynamically compromised and mechanically ventilated patients

Initiating and maintain complex IV therapy, including thrombolytic administration, vasoactive medications, central IV catheters, dialysis catheters & arterial lines

Safe use of less invasive, life-supporting modalities (i.e. BiPAP, ETCO2, arterial pressure-based CO / CI & SVO2 monitor, core temperature monitors)

Must be able to work 7 : 00p-7 : 00a

Qualifications

Your qualifications should include :

1-2 years of critical care experience; the successful candidate will have experience in one or more of the following areas : Intensive Care Unit, Step Down, Stem Cell or Emergency Department

Telemetry competency - Ability to read and operate cardiac monitor, recognize normal / abnormal rhythms, and institute appropriate interventions

Graduate of NLNAC or CCNE School of Nursing, and licensed in the state of IL

Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association must be maintained while in this position

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certified (As appropriate for population served)

ONS Chemotherapy / Biotherapy certified within 6 - 12 months of hire
