Essential Functions & Primary Duties :

• Drive the creation and maintenance of an enterprise data glossary, ensuring consistent business definitions across systems and stakeholders.
• Design, document, and update data dictionaries and data maps for critical enterprise datasets to support data understanding and trust.
• Lead the implementation and configuration of Microsoft Purview in partnership with the security team, enabling effective data cataloging, lineage tracking, and data discovery.
• Collaborate with business, technical, and security teams to establish data stewardship roles, ownership, and accountability.
• Develop and enforce data governance policies and standards (metadata, privacy, classification, retention, quality).
• Conduct data quality assessments, establish metrics, and help remediate issues in collaboration with engineering and analytics teams.
• Work with legal, compliance, and IT stakeholders to ensure data policies meet regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA).
• Provide stakeholder reporting on governance activities, catalog adoption, and data quality improvements.
