We are seeking a seasoned Permanent Director of Finance to join our team in the Agriculture industry. This role is pivotal in driving the company’s financial strategy and ensuring alignment with our overarching vision, operational objectives, and investor expectations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial planning, strategy, and management, coupled with an understanding of the manufacturing industry. This is a high-impact role that requires a strategic thinker with exceptional leadership skills and the ability to communicate complex financial information to stakeholders at all levels.
Responsibilities :
Drive the company’s financial strategy by developing and executing long-term financial plansServe as a key advisor to the executive team on financial decisions and business strategyAct as the primary financial liaison to the Board of Directors, investment fund representatives, and external stakeholdersPrepare and present board materials, financial reports, and performance updatesSupport investor inquiries, financial due diligence, and periodic evaluations related to reinvestment, divestment, or recapitalizationLead annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-term financial modelingManage short and long-term cash flow, working capital optimization, and capital structureOversee the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements following GAAP and internal standardsPlay a key role in evaluating and executing mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, or divestituresIdentify and mitigate financial risks and enforce strong internal control systems and financial policiesLead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance and accounting teamOversee financial systems and tools to ensure data accuracy, scalability, and integration with HRIS, procurement, and operational platformsCollaborate with leaders across HR, operations, sales, and supply chain to align financial planning with business strategySupport company-wide strategic initiatives by modeling various business scenarios, assessing risks, and advising on the financial implications of new projects, partnerships, or market expansionsDevelop and maintain detailed financial models to assess investment opportunities, support strategic initiatives, and guide capital allocation decisionsQualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferredMinimum of 5 years of experience in a senior financial leadership role, preferably in the agriculture or food processing industryProven experience in financial planning, budgeting, and forecastingStrong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and regulatory complianceExperience with mergers and acquisitions, financial due diligence, and valuation modelingExceptional leadership skills with a track record of mentoring and developing high-performing teamsStrong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable business insightsExcellent communication skills and the ability to present financial information to a non-financial audienceProficiency in financial systems and tools, with experience in digital transformation initiatives a plus.Interested in hearing more?
