THE ROLE : SUPERVISOR

- Pay Range $25 - $27 / Hr.

WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR IN THIS ROLE
The primary responsibilities of a APEX Beverage Supervisor will be to coordinate daily activities of assigned work force, shifts, and production units.
Responsibilities include : assigning and directing work, inspections of equipment, monitoring productivity, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Adhere to and support quality regulations and policies in accordance with GMP’s (Good Manufacturing Practices and established SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures)
- Cultivate a safety focused, positive work environment and ensure compliance with CAP and proper sanitation procedures
- Supervise, motivate, and develop assigned area personnel
- Review production, maintenance and shipping timetables and confer with department supervisors to coordinate daily work activities
- Monitor pasteurizer temperatures to ensure product meets company and customer quality specifications
- Coordinate with Quality Assurance staff to be sure operations are meeting specifications
- Maintain manual and computerized records such as material inventory, preventative maintenance logs, in-process production reports, and status and location of materials
- Monitor JDE WO system to ensure all components are issued to work orders for accurate cost accounting
- Monitor movement / transportation of materials within departments and conveyor systems
- Arrange for repair and assembly of materials or parts
- Other duties as assigned
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
- Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent, from two-year College or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and / or training
- Appropriate training and certifications relevant to assigned department, and duties
- Valid driver's license
- Good mathematical skills
- Knowledge of e-mail Internet software, Manufacturing software, and Word Processing software

ADDITIONAL REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :
- Excellent communication / interpersonal skills
- Ability to interact with a diverse employee population and with internal / external customers in an effective, professional manner
- Pro-active mindset with the ability to apply common sense and good judgment under minimal supervision
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced, high pressure environment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :
- Bilingual (English / Spanish)
- Food manufacturing
PHYSICAL DEMANDS :
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be able to work in freezer and cold, wet and / or humid conditions
HOURS & WORKDAYS :
3rd Shift (10 : 00PM -6 : 30AM) Monday through Sunday with rotating days off, when business requires overtime and weekends will be mandatory
