About The Position

Experience : 18 months of Med / Tele experience required

License : RN License

Certifications : BLS, ACLS, NIHSS

Must-Have :

Cardiac rhythm interpretation skills

Experience with non-titrating cardiac drips (Cardizem / Amiodarone)

General medical / surgical skillset for patients with tubes / drains

IV start skills

Blood products and wound care / dressing changes

Description :

Responsible for providing direct patient care in a MedSurg / Tele environment.

Care for patients with conditions such as DKA, sepsis, wounds, CHF, AKI, PNA, diabetes, anemia, and sickle cell crisis.

Surgical patients may include those with pancreatitis, spinal fusions, and orthopedic total joints (knees / hips).

Patient ratios are 1 : 5 during the day and 1 : 6 at night, with potential increases during surge staffing.

Support staff includes CNAs, receptionists, charge nurses, phlebotomists, an IV / VAT team, case managers, a nurse educator, and hospitalists available 24 / 7.

No remote telemonitoring is available; staff is responsible for monitoring patient conditions.

Technology used includes EMR systems, IV pumps, medication dispensing, and patient monitors.

Floating may be required to other facilities within the region based on practice scope.
