Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of technical skills during Cardiovascular, non-ablation electrophysiology, or interventional radiology procedures to provide efficient, comfortable, and safe examinations.
• Act as two out of the three standard roles (scrub, circulate, monitor) consistent with department policies and hospital administration; follow professional practice guidelines.
• Follow CDC isolation guidelines, use PPE as appropriate, maintain aseptic technique, ensure safety and regulatory standards, and participate in department competencies.
• Verify orders, facilitate implementation, communicate with physicians, administer treatments and medications per policy and training, respond to clinical emergencies, and maintain patient throughput.
• Produce accurate medical records and maintain their authenticity and security; amend documents per procedure.
• Proficiently perform diagnostic and interventional procedures as applicable to invasive cardiovascular laboratory work; take call as rotated / assigned.
• Document and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and procedures; adhere to scope of practice for Cardiovascular Invasive Lab Technologists.
