Aide Trainee Position

As an Aide Trainee, you will be responsible and accountable for learning the duties of a Residential Services Aide and begin with a paid in-classroom and on-the-job training program. You will learn how to care for and assist people with Intellectual Disabilities living at the Selinsgrove Center. Upon successful completion of a six-month probationary period as an Aide Trainee, you will be promoted to a Residential Services Aide. Interested in learning more? Work Schedule and Additional Information : Full-time employment. Work hours during training : 1st shift 8 : 00am - 4 : 30pm. Work hours after training : 1st shift 6 : 00am - 2 : 30pm, with a 30 minute lunch. Rotating schedule with every third weekend off. Travel and overtime as needed. Salary : Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $39,245.00 (before taxes).

Required Experience, Training & Eligibility Qualifications : Minimum Experience and Training Requirements : No previous experience needed, training provided. You must be able to perform essential job functions. Legal Requirements : A conditional offer of employment will require satisfactory completion of a medical examination and drug screening. This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
