Why We're Hiring

We're seeking a contract-to-hire Senior Frontend Engineer to join our cross-functional, domain-driven teams building Complex's next-generation eCommerce and media experiences. You'll lead the development of fast, responsive, and mobile-first interfaces that connect culture, content, and commerce. Applicants must be willing and able to work on-site in New York, NY.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain complex, responsive frontend applications using React, Next.js, and Remix
• Implement high-quality UI components that scale across our media and e-commerce platforms
• Partner with product managers and designers to translate business and user requirements into intuitive interfaces
• Own key areas of the frontend codebase, driving improvements in code organization, performance, and maintainability
• Lead technical discovery and scoping for frontend features, ensuring alignment with backend and mobile teams
• Optimize site speed, accessibility, and SEO using best practices in SSR, lazy loading, and Core Web Vitals
• Contribute to shared frontend libraries, tooling, and design system components to support team consistency
• Conduct technical reviews, pair programming, and mentorship to grow frontend capabilities across the organization
• Monitor production issues affecting the UI layer and participate in the on-call rotation for frontend concerns

The Pay Range, which consists of salary and commission, for this position is listed. Actual pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Complex Total Rewards offerings for employees.
