Assistant Center Director

Your purpose is to support the Center Director in managing the daily operations of the center, ensuring that every child receives the highest quality care and early education experience.
This dynamic role blends leadership, administrative expertise, and a deep understanding of child development. You help foster a positive culture among staff, build strong relationships with families, and uphold the highest standards of safety, learning, and engagement within the center. Duties and responsibilities include :
Assisting the Center Director in managing the day-to-day operations of the center.
Being capable of running the center in the absence of the Center Director.
Providing mentorship and guidance to new hires during their initial employment period to promote confidence, consistency, and retention.
Providing leadership and guidance to the teaching team and ensuring that they are delivering high quality programs and services.
Building and maintaining positive relationships with families and ensuring they are informed and engaged in their child's learning and development.
Working in the classroom as needed, to ensure that children are receiving safe and nurturing learning experiences.
Supporting and ensuring full compliance with all applicable regulations, licensing requirements, and record-keeping standards as mandated by The Learning Experience and Texas State Licensing.
Supporting center growth by actively assisting in strategies to increase and maintain enrollment.
Engaging with prospective families through tours, inquiries, and follow-up communication to support enrollment goals.
Helping create a safe environment for employees and little learners, including reporting potential safety hazards and recommendations for eliminating or reducing hazards in the workplace.
Helping the Center Director with staff scheduling to maintain proper classroom ratios.
Qualifications include :
An associate's degree in early childhood education.
Understanding and adhering to the Texas Minimum Standards as outlined by Child Care Licensing.
Ability to happily communicate with parents and staff, (i.e. answer the phone in a happy tone).
Passing an FBI finger printing and background check.
Exhibiting a patient, welcoming, nurturing attitude with little learners and families.
CPR / First Aid certification.
2+ years of experience in early childhood education.
This will be a highly paced job that requires a Happy Happens Here attitude.

Physical requirements include :
Being able to walk up and down stairs.
Being able to sit on the floor for extended periods of time.
Being able to bend, push, pull, and carry up to 40 pounds.
