Position Summary

Since 1969, our factory has been a cornerstone just eight miles west of Harrisburg. As one of the largest manufacturers in the area, we produce a wide range of dry pet food, including beloved brands like Puppy Chow®, Pro Plan®, and Friskies®. Beyond our work, we support local animal shelters, enriching the lives of pets everywhere. We’re also doing our part to care for the environment we share, like conserving water, investing in renewable electricity and maintaining zero waste for disposal. As a Staff Engineer, you will take pride in investigating and resolving plant operational concerns, while actively identifying opportunities to enhance our processes, productivity, safety, and efficiency. You will play a vital role in the design, estimation, and execution of our plant capital projects, contributing to our collective success. In this position, your proactive communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams will be essential in driving impactful results, fostering a spirit of togetherness as we strive for excellence together.

Spearhead operational optimization through planned equipment maintenance and facility improvements as well as timely troubleshooting of manufacturing systems

Direct the installation of new equipment and automation enhancements and provide training for plant personnel

Monitor outside contractors to ensure compliance with all company standards including safety, quality and cost control

Support maintenance team leaders and provide engineering assistance as needed

Provide utilities management expertise to ensure energy efficiency, environmental prioritization and compliance

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering

2+ years of experience in an engineering role within a manufacturing, industrial, military or related environment

The approximate pay range for this position is $84,000 to $108,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location.
