Lead Principal Auditor - Payment Network Operations

Join Capital One as a Lead Principal Auditor focused on Payment Network Operations, where you will drive impactful audits within the Global Payment Network. This role is central to enhancing our payment operations, risk management, and regulatory compliance, making it a crucial position within our organization.

As part of our dedicated Audit team, you will lead complex audit engagements, utilizing innovative data analytics to provide actionable insights and recommendations to business leadership. You will have the opportunity to shape and guide audit strategies for payment networks, while also managing and mentoring audit teams.

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead planning and execution of large-scale, complex audits across diverse lines of business.
• Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential exposures and impacts.
• Design and implement effective audit procedures by analyzing evidence and documenting processes.
• Utilize data analytics tools during all phases of the audit process.
• Compile and present audit findings in clear and concise reports to management.
• Contribute to the development of the annual audit plan.
• Execute internal control testing across multiple operational components.
• Advise business leadership on best practices for risk management.
• Foster strong relationships with line management and stakeholders throughout engagements.
• Manage audit projects and mentor junior auditors, providing constructive feedback.

This role requires you to work in person three days a week, with Fridays designated as remote workdays. Our office locations include Charlotte, Chicago, McLean, New York, Plano, Richmond, and Riverwoods.

The salary for this role ranges from $115,900 to $158,700, depending on the location and level of experience. In addition to the competitive salary, Capital One offers performance-based incentives and a comprehensive benefits package to support your well-being.
