Position Description :

We are looking for a Civil / Structural Substation Engineer to join our ICE Team to improve infrastructure in our Michigan offices. The candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, and five to ten years of experience with high voltage substation design. Substation design encompasses distribution, sub-transmission and transmission level voltage classes. Experience with Bentley ProjectWise, Microsoft Office, and Bluebeam Revu PDF Editor is required. Experience with STAAD, MathCAD, LPILE, RISA or equivalent engineering software is . Some travel will be required for this role. A professional Engineering License is . The candidate must also be self-motivated, work well with others, and have excellent writing, organizational, and communication skills. A flexible work schedule (hybrid or remote) is available. Typical responsibilities include :

• Responsible for structural design of electrical substation structures and foundations
• Prepare and review calculations following industry standard methods and principles
• Provide technical guidance and direction to junior engineers
• Assist in developing, maintaining and updating engineering standards
• Perform detailed quality reviews of project deliverables
• Attend and / or conduct client and project meetings
• Attend site visits as required
• Promote sales
• Review scope, budget and schedule for project tasks
• Assist with proposals, marketing, project reports and technical presentations
• Maintain excellent client relations
• Maintain a safe working environment
