Post Closing Investor Auditor
The Post Closing Investor Auditor is responsible for researching and documenting the loan activity cycle from delivery through purchase. Complete internal audit reports for suspended loans by investigating loan deficiencies and provide findings to share with Post Closing departments. The Post Closing Investor Auditor will collaborate in efforts to identify remedies, mitigate trends. Perform continuous auditing and remediation plan validations as assigned.
Key Responsibilities
Participates in internal audits by executing assigned tasks in accordance with the Departments methodology and professional standards. Completes work within the established timeframes with guidance from the Manager. Conducts effective root cause analysis of identified findings. Confirms the validity of Fees charged and allocates costs to the proper Departments. Review and analyze loan history and milestone timelines within the LOS systems. Documents their work, including findings, in clear and concise fashion in accordance with the Department's methodology. Actively participates in meetings with Post Closing management and provides updates on their respective areas of review. Understand how to effectively incorporate data analytics. Actively seeks out knowledge in the areas of assigned audit activities. Daily management of Assigned audit loan pipeline. Embraces innovative change. Meet the required minimum of daily audited files. Additional duties as assigned.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
High school diploma or equivalent. At minimum 1+ year(s) experience in loan processing or mortgage auditing preferred. Encompass experience preferred. Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Familiarity with Mortgage loan processes specific to various departments. Proven analytical and critical thinking skills. Capable of working independently with strong decisions making skills. Effective written and verbal communication skills.
