OKTA Architect

Woodland Hills - Onsite / Hybrid

Long Term

Looking for a highly energetic and collaborative OKTA Architect with experience building enterprise data solutions around Business and IT operations.

OKTA Architect : - Key Responsibilities : Architect the end-to-end migration from SiteMinder to Okta, including user identity flows and access control models. Design and implement SSO solutions using SAML, OAuth2, and OIDC protocols. Define and implement Role-Based Access Policies (RBAP) and role mapping strategies across applications. Lead the planning and execution of user migration, ensuring data integrity and minimal disruption. Collaborate with application owners to integrate Okta with internal and third-party systems. Develop architecture diagrams, migration roadmaps, and security models. Ensure compliance with enterprise security standards and regulatory requirements.

Roles & Responsibilities

Architect the end-to-end migration from SiteMinder to Okta, including user identity flows and access control models.

Design and implement SSO solutions using SAML, OAuth2, and OIDC protocols.

Define and implement Role-Based Access Policies (RBAP) and role mapping strategies across applications.

Lead the planning and execution of user migration, ensuring data integrity and minimal disruption.

Collaborate with application owners to integrate Okta with internal and third-party systems.

Develop architecture diagrams, migration roadmaps, and security models.

Ensure compliance with enterprise security standards and regulatory requirements.

Drive customer conversations to define the requirements and overall technical architecture for data and related solutions

Exercise you strong decision-making skills in terms of data analysis and architecting large data infrastructure

Create technical solution and architecture, artifacts, work products and presentation of solution with the customer. Deliver data platform and architecture recommendations based on requirements and industry best practices

Review functional and technical requirements, raising potential issues and participating actively in design discussions

Develop reusable artifacts / frameworks, re-usable assets, industry solutions, reference architecture, design, development and QA best practice

Collaborating with Customers, Security Team and Product Marketing / Management teams to identify opportunities that can be exploited through great software features. Work closely with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Senior Business Analysts, and other client stakeholders

Working as a member of a design, build and test agile team continuously releasing new features

Lead interaction and collaboration with other Okta teams, such as Engineering and Support, as needed to address escalated issues and drive product development

Interact with all management and roles within the customer providing insights and high-value business value

Skills

10-15 years of Proven experience in engineering and software architecture design.

Bachelor's degree in computer science or an equivalent degree

IT / software development experience, solution design and technical architecture experience.

  • Expert level experience with business and technical applications;

Sound knowledge in Multi platform

Ability to mentor others, lead multiple or large projects and provide troubleshooting support Proficient in one or more design-oriented and functional programming languages

Hands-on development and code refactoring experience

Should be familiar with (Scaled) Agile framework and experience in evolutionary design and development processes

Should be well versed with Enterprise integration patterns and experienced in security and performance focused solutions

Good understanding of principles of accessibility and User eXperience.

Knowledge of enterprise web technologies, security, on-premise and cloud platforms

Knowledge of established customer experiences (CX) is used to solve common IAM use cases

Knowledge and experience in Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Security space preferred

Experience implementing cloud computing solutions, including AWS, GoogleApps, Salesforce etc.

Experience with employee identity use cases : HR driven identity, ActiveDirectory, SSO, SaaS application integrations.

Experience designing solutions to support mission-critical and business programs.

Experience conducting discovery workshops to derive customer requirements, specifications and business processes.

Strong knowledge of Security Architecture, Design and Operations, LDAP, Active Directory, SAML, SSO, RBAC, OAuth, OIDC, web protocols XML, SOAP, JSON, REST.

Domain knowledge in healthcare is a plus

Consulting experience

Experience in SAFe is mandatory

Excellent written and oral communication skills
