QA Engineer
The QA Engineer is a pivotal role within this organization, serving as the right-hand engineer to the Director of Engineering.
This individual will spearhead quality assurance initiatives, collaborating closely with the director on test planning, strategies, and risk mitigation.
With expertise in both hardware and software testing, particularly in embedded systems and smart devices, the ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency across a spectrum of domains including firmware, OS, networking, device security, and databases.
They will drive the development and execution of meticulous test processes, encompassing both manual and automated methodologies, ensuring compliance.

Responsibilities
- Maintain and update test data and environments, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
- Develop comprehensive test plans, cases, and automation scripts, delivering detailed reports to management on device performance.
- Collaborate closely with engineering and QA teams
- Contribute to implementation of automation strategies, crafting and maintaining automation frameworks and scripts.
- Execute investigative testing on customer and field issues as necessary, ensuring a thorough understanding of product functionality and requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field, coupled with industry certifications in quality assurance and testing.
- Extensive expertise in both manual and automated testing methodologies, with proficiency in designing and developing test cases and scripts.
- Demonstrated ability to independently plan, execute, and report on various test types, including functionality, security, and performance.
- Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience in a Quality Assurance Engineer role, with a focus on embedded devices, firmware, and applications.
- Proficiency in Python with experience using device testing tools and test management platforms
