The Electrical and Controls Engineer II will execute plant support troubleshooting and lead improvement projects for the Richmond IN facility and support capital projects for Johns Manville as needed. This role will assist the Richmond plant in meeting or exceeding stated operational environmental and safety goals. Mentor Junior Engineers and Electricians as well as providing training. Will handle plant projects from start to finish on a broad range of industrial electrical and control system manufacturing projects including scope documents engineering calculations and designs specifications cost estimates schedules project justifications and project training and documentation.

Your Day to Day :

• Ability to perform power electrical & control systems engineering for all aspects of projects.
• Prepares and reviews technical electrical specifications for equipment processes and projects.
• Troubleshoot and correct operational issues
• Participate in / lead root cause corrective actions to prevent re-occurrence of issues.
• Provide on-call support to plant operations for electrical and controls issues.
• Assist in review and implementation of Corporate Specifications and Standards.
• Track and prioritize issues in conjunction with other departments.
• Prepares and reviews technical electrical specifications for equipment and processes projects.
• Assist facility with manufacturing operations as well as execution of electrical safety initiatives.
• Maintain good communication with management and project customers regarding project status problems and changes.
• Coordinate review provide oversight and manage external engineering resources and consultants as needed.

The Richmond Indiana Facility produces high volumes of quality blow wool insulation for contractors and retail customers. We produce almost 50% of the blowing wool for JM at the Richmond Plant.
