Location, Shift, and Pay
Worksite : 970 Route 11, Kirkwood, NY 13795Schedule : 1st shift starting at 6 : 00 AM; weekend flexibility and overtime as neededHourly rate : $20.00 + benefits (base pay varies by job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience; details specific to Kirkwood and may not apply elsewhere)Role Snapshot
Assemble heavy subassemblies and complete units to spec.Perform testing and calibration to ensure tolerances are met.Support troubleshooting of running equipment and implement improvements or modifications.Carry out preventive and predictive maintenance tasks.Follow pre‑established work instructions and SOPs under immediate supervision.Keep the work area clean and safe; perform other duties as assigned.Skills & Capabilities
Working knowledge of common manufacturing practices and procedures.Understanding of door components; experience in door installation and woodworking is beneficial.Proficiency with manual and pneumatic tools : nail gun, screw gun, router, tape measure, square, screwdriver.Accurate tape measure reading and strong shop math.Ability to contribute independently and within a team.Physical & Environmental Requirements
Stand for extended periods; perform repetitive motions (bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, pulling).Lift 50+ lbs frequently.Work in changing temperatures including heat, humidity, and cold due to the open facility environment.Consistent attendance and punctuality are essential to meeting production and customer needs.Structure & Support
Operate under the general direction of the Plant Manager with immediate supervision on tasks.Rely on documented instructions while applying judgment and creativity as needed.High School Diploma or equivalent preferred; prior production experience preferred.Make an Impact
