The Executive Director of Wellstar Clinical Partners at Wellstar Health System reports to the SVP, Wellstar Clinical Partners. This position will have direct oversight for the strategy and operations within Wellstar Clinical Partners and across the network. This leader is responsible for aligning and integrating the WCP physicians with other WS entities and community partners, as well as implementing value-based programs including oversight of day-to-day operations, department budget and management of administrative and quality resources supporting the network. The Executive Director will work with the SVP, the program Medical Director and other WCP physician leaders to grow and expand the network as well as build strategic partnerships with payers and community providers to achieve the program objectives. The Executive Director will focus heavily on integration of WCP programs and initiatives with other WS hospitals, medical group, home health and other ambulatory services to ensure alignment across the organization. In this role, the Executive Director of Wellstar Clinical Partners will build on existing relationships and establish new ones across and outside the organization to support value-based program design and implementation to achieve desired quality, cost and utilization outcomes. He / she will leverage awareness of quality services, IT integration, analytics, population health resources, and current business and patient outcomes to meet those goals. This information will then be converted in the design and implementation of program / project scope, production of target deliverables and ongoing performance management. Using proficient technical skills in data analytics and project tracking, this Executive Director will be responsible for creating and maintaining protocols and communications for the Clinical Integration Programs. In addition, he / she will gather, analyze and report on program outcomes through standard and ad hoc reporting. The Executive Director of Clinical Integration will be a central point of contact for program participants and is charged with physician education and outreach to ensure consistency of practice and to maintain focused efforts. He / She will bring a high level of energy and initiative to the program management process, providing guidance and consultation to participants and program team members. The Executive Director will serve as the network's operational lead accountable for managing all tasks and responsibilities described above, setting and implementing CIN strategies, but more importantly serving as the network's executive liaison with WCP's current and potential members, key internal and external stakeholders, as well as Wellstar's leadership.
Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions :
1. Wellstar Clinical Partners Operations :
a. Oversee the defining of scope, structure, goals, and deliverables. Direct changes in project scope throughout the duration of each project.
b. Assure resource management to achieve business goals by accurately estimating resources and participants needed to achieve project goals, including management of vendors or consultant resources.
c. Lead the development of project plans and associated communications.
d. Responsible for thoroughly understanding and communicating stakeholder requirements to appropriate team members.
e. Establish clear ownership for project tasks, ensure that team members have the tools needed, and provide timely feedback.
f. Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
g. Track progress and review project tasks to assign accountability to make certain deadlines are met appropriately.
h. Ensure projects are completed on time and within scope.
i. Acts as a liaison between physicians and WellStar Leadership.
j. Direct and oversee operations to assure financial viability through service quality and clinical excellence to the population served.
k. Lead status meetings with key stakeholders, advising and consulting with the key stakeholders to ensure their needs and requirements continuously in view.
l. Influence, coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
m. Identify potential crises and devise contingency plans.
n. Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project.
o. Responsible for the financial viability of each project / program, including but not limited to :
a. Monitoring progress against budget.
b. Planning and implementing capital expenditures.
c. Plans and maintains operating budget.
d. Administers accounting and financial control systems, accounts receivables and budgets.
2. Leadership and Professional Responsibility :
a. Cultivate a relationship of mutual respect and trust with providers and team members.
b. Works in conjunction with physician leaders, stakeholders, and senior leadership to facilitate program understanding and acceptance of good business management.
c. Ensures providers understand their obligations within WellStar Clinical Partners.
d. Seek out opportunities to network and enhance program knowledge base. Actively participates in organizational activities and continuing education.
e. Exhibits professionalism in dress, style and manner.
f. Ability to demonstrate good communication skills with providers, team members and senior leadership.
g. Facilitate and organize large meetings, leadership teams, and groups as requested.
h. Lead the gathering and dissemination of materials for meetings, provide edits and restructuring. Attend management, project team, and customer meetings as requested.
3. Trust / Engagement :

Maintains and strengthens relationships with physicians and assures their involvement in developing systems to assure the growth of the service and the cost-effective delivery of quality patient care in a manner that fosters patient and employee satisfaction.
4. Results Oriented Leadership :
a. Oversee the development and delivery of physician report cards, progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation and presentations.
b. Lead or help to create deliverable documents as assigned by project leadership. These may include draft RFPs, policies and procedures, presentations, organizational charts, etc.
c. Sets challenging and productive goals for team.
d. Holds team accountable for actions while providing leadership and motivation.
e. Provides resources and support.
f. Uses checkpoints and data to track progress, setting up system and processes to measure results.
5. Collaboration and Partnership :
a. Works collaboratively and as a team member with hospital leadership. Partners with Human Resources to achieve desired organizational culture, staffing and workforce metrics.
b. Fosters positive working relationships between staff and physicians across the Health System.
c. Fosters a culture that focuses on patient satisfaction, safety, customer service, staff participation, collaboration, motivation, and effective communication. Performs other duties as assigned Complies with all Wellstar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.

Required Minimum Skills :
Extensive knowledge and understanding of the changing healthcare environment, especially related to new provider reimbursement mechanisms; comprehensive understanding of enterprise information systems and ability to generate actionable reports from the systems; ability to partner with system stakeholders through influence; well versed in all Microsoft Office products, SQL and Visual Basic preferred. Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with groups and strong project leadership. Spreadsheet analysis, budget development, cost utilization and strategic planning skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated expertise in gathering and interpreting data. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with physicians and multiple levels of leadership.
