    JOB DESCRIPTION :

    This position is a professional accounting position that is in the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation's (DVR) Financial Payments Section that is administratively assigned to the Bureau of the Comptroller. This position performs a variety of accounting duties as well as other office duties. All duties of this position must be performed in compliance with the mandatory requirements of Section 215.422, Florida Statutes, Chapter 3A-20, Florida Administrative Code.

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Incumbent audits invoices and purchase orders and prepare payment packages.
  • Incumbent ensures charges on invoices are in agreement with the terms specified on the purchase orders when applicable.
  • Incumbent verifies vendor name, address and amounts to be paid.
  • Incumbent verifies the accuracy of mathematical extensions.
  • Incumbent reviews invoices to ensure that statutory requirements and comptroller rules and regulations are adhered to sort documents for remittance, comptroller and file room, maintains files.
  • Incumbent performs related duties as required.
  • Attendance at work is an essential job function.
  • Transform paper invoices to Invoice Eforms in the MyFloridaMarketPlace (MFMP) Ariba on Demand (AOD) system. This includes matching the invoice to the Purchase Order in the system.
  • The invoice is then reconciled by assuring that the item / and or goods has been received.
  • This position acts as both Invoice Manager and Exception Handler in the MFMP system to ensure that invoices are paid in accordance to all current Departmental rules, regulations and proper procedures.
  • KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES :

  • Annual Leave - All full-time Career Service employees filling established positions earn annual leave in varying increments dependent upon years of creditable service. Employees with up to 5 years of creditable service earn 8.667 hours per month, with 5 to 10 years earn 10.833 hours per month and those with over 10 years of service earn 13 hours per month.
  • Sick Leave - Career Service employees earn 8.667 hours of sick leave credits per month.
  • BACKGROUND SCREENING REQUIREMENT
