What you will be doing

Now is an exciting time to join our Indirect Tax team. We are focused on optimizing our sales and use tax process and are looking to add a team member who is passionate about tax and who will assist with multi-state sales and use tax compliance, general ledger account reconciliations, and product taxability analysis.

In addition, you will have opportunities to be involved in sales and use tax audits and special projects.

This position will be based in Phoenix, AZ.

Main responsibilities

• Indirect tax GL account reconciliations and journal entries.
• Indirect tax compliance, including data gathering, analysis and return preparation.
• Product taxability reviews.
• Tax research and interpretation of tax laws.
• Ad-hoc & special projects as assigned by Tax Manager.

What we are searching for

• Detail oriented with high degree of accuracy.
• Ability to perform tax technical research.
• Self-motivated and ability to work independently with minimum supervision, under rigid time constraints yet contribute as an overall team member when necessary.
• Good analytical and organizational skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Honest / trustworthy, exhibiting sound business standards.

We believe the successful candidate has these qualifications and experience :

• Working towards a Four-year college degree in accounting, similar or equivalent experience.
• Advanced level PC skills with knowledge of Windows & Microsoft software applications.
• Oracle (or similar General Ledger system).
• Multi-state sales and use tax helpful but not required.
• Vertex tax software experience helpful but not required.
• SQL experience helpful but not required.
• Alteryx experience helpful but not required.
