Position Summary
This position involves examination and analysis of patients referred to the Motion Analysis Laboratory for gait analysis, movement disorders and return to sport testing.
The physical therapist will be working with a variety of patients with cerebral palsy, spina bifida, skeletal dysplasia, clubfoot, movement disorders, recreational athletes to college athletes and even some typically developing children for research purposes.
This position involves working as a team daily with engineers, physical therapists and physicians. Main duties include detailed physical examination, collection of motion analysis data, data interpretation, data organization, report generation, and collaboration with care providers to create treatment plans.
Other duties may include working with research subjects, students and volunteers, technical writing, community outreach and professional presentations.
Must be proficient with basic computer skills and willingness to learn other technical skills.

Education
BA or higher degree from a school accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association (Required)
Experience
- Significant training or practice in a pediatric rehabilitation therapy department (Preferred)
- Significant training or practice in a clinical motion analysis laboratory (Preferred)
- Demonstrated experience in written / oral presentations; demonstrated understanding of basic statistical methods (Preferred)
Certifications
- Arizona State Board of Physical Therapy license prior to start date (Required)
- AZ DPS fingerprint clearance card prior to start date (Required)
- BLS certification for Health care Provider from the American Heart Association prior to start date (Required)
Special Skills
- Team oriented & detail oriented (Required)
- Strong English language communication skills : speaking, writing, presentation (Required)
- Willing to travel for education and training (2-10 days / year) (Required)
- Computer literate with emphasis on Microsoft Windows and Office Suite products (Preferred)
- Spanish or Native American language skills (Preferred)
