POSITION :
DIIT School Planning, Modernization, and Partnership (SPMP) Support Specialist
LOCATION :
New York City Department of Education, a combination of remote and on-site locations.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS :
NYCDOE Teacher Assigned
SELECTION CRITERIA :
- Knowledge of Instructional uses of Educational Technology and associated frameworks (TPACK, SAMR, ISTE, etc.)
- Demonstrated knowledge of DIIT enterprise systems and applications
- Ability to attend scheduled meetings virtually.
- Have "Highly Effective," "Effective," (or "Satisfactory," if applicable) rating for the prior year
Preferred :
- 5+ consecutive years of "Highly Effective," "Effective," (or "Satisfactory," evaluations, if applicable)
- Be tenured on or before the first day of the school year serving in the role (2022-23 SY)
- Ability to develop presentation on quality Ed Tech practices
- Ability to collaborate across content areas and grades with colleagues from other schools.
- Experience collaborating on education technology, curriculum, and school improvement initiatives.
DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES :
Design and create materials related to ed tech professional development along with planning or implementing multiple SPMP projects to include but are not limited to :
Content creation / facilitation for Professional Learning Portal and Ed Tech U Develop short videos & associated decks, agendas, materials demoing / explaining / teaching quality practices.
Assist in ongoing feedback development & maintenance of SharePoint Portal content, articles, etc.
- Quality practices Design Series Develop and deliver a presentation or workshop based on feedback from colleagues. Provide feedback to colleagues to support the development of their presentation or workshop. Create articles.
- Educator experience (panels and focus groups) Participate in panels or focus groups to share your experiences leveraging educational technology and to inform the design of professional learning resources for educators related to new products, programs or systems.
- Focus Groups Test new products Provide feedback on new programs or platforms.
- Participate in other projects that are intended to improve ed tech integration in our schools.
- Learn and use Microsoft Dynamics CRM
WORK SCHEDULE :
Summer, July 1 - August 31, 2024 . Various dates and times during the summer. Schedules will be determined by need and availability.
Number of hours per position may vary but could be up to 30 hours).
Hours up to, but not limited to the approximate number of hours listed. Additional hours may be granted upon the approval of the hiring manager.
SALARY :
Per Session rates as per the relevant union / organization of the advertised title (Collective Bargaining Agreement). Contingent upon funding availability and programmatic approval.
