Burke Forest Vet is hiring!
Burke Forest Veterinary Clinic in Springfield, VA is looking for a full-time Veterinary Assistant / Technician to join our unique team.
Hours include Monday through Friday and rotational Saturday’s.
We are looking for someone who is just as much a people person as an animal lover and can provide exceptional customer service! We are looking for a permanent addition to our team and someone who will enjoy learning and growing professionally within our practice.
You must be self-motivated and focused on providing top tier customer service to our clients. Being professional, articulate and organized is a necessity.
If you are a highly motivated individual who is able to multi-task and is extremely detail oriented this job is for you!
We provide a very high level of individualized care to our patients extending to our education of clients. We want to bring someone on board who can assist in a variety of roles and make our clients and their pets feel valued.
You must be able to provide excellent nursing care while maintaining compassion.
Daily tasks will include :
- Checking clients / patients in and out
- Acquiring patient history
- Maintaining medical records properly and legally
- Assisting veterinary technicians and doctors
- Animal handling and restraint
- Drawing / administering vaccinations
- Phlebotomy
- Digital Radiology
- Cold Laser
- Running in house lab work / preparing outside lab work for pick up / shipment
- Filling medications
- Cleaning

Required education :
High school or equivalent
Required experience :
Previous experience in the veterinary field is a preferred
