Registered Nurse – MS / Tele (Medical Oncology & Benign Hematology)

Start Date : 12 / 01 / 2025 | Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 3×12 Days (7 a – 7 : 30 p) or 3×12 Nights (7 p – 7 : 30 a)

Job Details

  • Charting System : Epic (required)
  • Floating : To other MedSurg Oncology units
  • Scheduling : Self-schedule (no blocked scheduling)
  • Patient Ratio Goal : 1 : 4 (can be 1 : 5)
  • Patient Age Group : Adults, Geriatrics

    • Requirements

  • Experience : 2 years (Oncology experience preferred but not required)
  • Certifications : BLS (required) | ONS Chemo (preferred)
  • Travel Experience : Preferred

    • Unit Overview

  • 36-bed oncology / med-surg unit caring for solid tumor cancers including Breast, Lung, Prostate, Pancreatic, Colon, and Esophageal
  • Heavy focus on infection prevention and patient fall safety
  • Provides full spectrum of care : diagnosis → treatment → end-of-life support

    • Skills

  • IV Therapy & Phlebotomy
  • Blood Product Administration
  • Central Line & Port Access
  • Interpretation & Management of Dysrhythmias
  • Chemotherapy Administration (preferred)
  • Tracheostomy Care (preferred)

    • Equipment

  • GE Telemetry System (B450 Monitors)
  • Alaris Pumps
  • Stryker Beds
  • Bladder Scanner

    • Additional Info

  • Floating required to other MedSurg Oncology units
  • Self-scheduling with flexibility based on unit needs
  • Flu Vaccine : Required (medical exemption only)
  • COVID Vaccine : Not required
