Emergency Medicine Physician Needed: Deliver Essential Care near Boyd, WI (j-232751) Are you a board-eligible emergency medicine physician seeking a rewarding locum tenens opportunity to serve a vibrant community near Boyd, Wisconsin? Our critical access hospital, the only healthcare facility in the county, is actively searching for a skilled and dedicated physician to join our team and provide vital emergency care. This full-time, long-term locum tenens position offers the chance to make a real difference in a supportive environment, focusing on stabilizing procedures for patients in a single-coverage setting. Meaningful Patient Interactions:Provide essential care to patients presenting to the emergency department, utilizing your clinical skills to assess, stabilize, and initiate treatment plans. Supportive Work Environment:Work collaboratively with a team of dedicated nurses and have access to essential diagnostic imaging services (X-ray, CT scan 24/7, MRI) to support your patient care decisions. Temporary privileges are available for qualified candidates. Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including history taking, physical examinations, and diagnostic testing. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for a variety of acute medical conditions. Perform essential stabilization procedures. Collaborate effectively with nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care. Document patient care accurately and efficiently within the Cerner electronic medical records system. Qualifications for Success: Board eligibility in emergency medicine is mandatory. Current and active state license is not required, but willingness to obtain temporary privileges in Wisconsin is essential. Minimum of two years of clinical experience in emergency medicine is preferred. Current certifications in ACLS, PALS, ATLS, and BLS are mandatory. Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills are crucial. The ability to work independently while leading a team in a single-coverage setting is essential.
