Locum Tenens Radiologist Needed Near Halltown, MO (j-227209) Calling all skilled and adaptable radiologists seeking a rewarding locum tenens opportunity in a growing Missouri community near Halltown, MO! This temporary assignment offers the chance to contribute your expertise in a supportive environment while enjoying a predictable schedule. About the Opportunity: Provide comprehensive radiology services for inpatients at a local hospital. Ideal for a radiologist seeking a locum tenens position with a focus on diagnostic procedures. Start Date: ASAP End Date: Ongoing Responsibilities: Interpret various imaging studies (X-ray, CT, etc.) to diagnose and assess medical conditions. Perform image-guided procedures, including CT-guided biopsies, abscess drains, nephrostomy tube placements, paracentesis, thoracentesis, and fine-needle aspirations. Collaborate effectively with referring physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care. Maintain a high standard of patient care and communication. Qualifications: Active medical license in the state of Missouri (only). Board-eligible or board-certified in Radiology. PALS certification required. Experience working in a hospital setting preferred. Excellent clinical skills, a strong knowledge base in diagnostic radiology and image-guided procedures, and a commitment to patient-centered care. Here's a more detailed breakdown of the role: Schedule: Three 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM shifts per week throughout August and September (availability details can be discussed). Patient Load: Expect to interpret images for and potentially perform procedures on approximately 15 patients per shift. Procedures: You will be expected to perform CT-guided biopsies of the lung, liver, and bone, CT-guided abscess drains, CT-guided nephrostomy tube placements, paracentesis, thoracentesis, and fine-needle aspirations.
