Job Description

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment within a government location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and responding promptly to any situations that arise. This is an armed and driving post, requiring you to be prepared and alert while operating a vehicle and carrying a firearm as part of your daily duties. You will interact with staff and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while upholding the highest standards of professionalism. Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Day Time Mon 06:00 AM - 04:00 PM

Tue 06:00 AM - 04:00 PM

Wed 06:00 AM - 04:00 PM

Thur 06:00 AM - 04:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor for and report any unusual activity, hazards, or security-related concerns in accordance with site protocols.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential threats and/or unauthorized access.
• Interact professionally with visitors, staff, and/or members of the public as required by site-specific guidelines.
• Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and promptly.
• Follow all Allied Universal and site-specific protocols for armed patrol posts, including proper handling and storage of assigned equipment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or possess a college degree.
• Must be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or possess an equivalent qualification. This requirement may be completed post hire.
• Must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must possess a valid driver's license in the state where the job is located.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
