Vice President, Cost Basis and Tax Reporting

Broker dealer client is seeking a strong candidate to oversee Cost Basis and Tax Reporting Operations. This VP role drives enterprise-wide operational strategy, ensures regulatory compliance, and advances modernization initiatives across reporting systems and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute operational strategy for cost basis and tax reporting

Lead, mentor, and develop teams to achieve excellence and efficiency

Oversee budgeting, business planning, and performance management

Drive modernization and process optimization across systems and controls

Ensure compliance with IRS, SEC, and Client regulations

Partner with senior leadership to align operations with firm strategy

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred

10+ years in financial services operations, with strong tax or cost basis experience

Deep knowledge of securities operations, financial markets, and regulatory reporting
