The Regulatory and Analytics (R&A) team within the EDO plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and compliance of regulatory reports and in leveraging data analytics to drive business insights. The R&A team collaborates across various business and technology units to implement robust data quality management policies and procedures, and to provide subject matter expertise on regulatory reporting requirements.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced AVP / Associate to join our Regulatory and Analytics team. This role is expected to deliver excellence at the intersection of data analytics, regulatory management, control framework development, adoption and deployment of new technology in wholesale credit management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Become business domain expert in wholesale credit product, portfolio and risk management
  • Accountable for DQ review in compliance with WCR, EDO, industry and regulatory guidance with 95% accuracy rate. Review should be comprehensive, concise, conclusive and consistent with clear support document reference.
  • Specialize in assigned portfolio, liaise with business, TM and UW, ensure data integrity, represent R&A in issue remediation, while backup teammates on other portfolios
  • Responsible for detecting, assessing, measuring, reporting of data anomalies
  • Apply new technology and data analytics tools to improve the review efficiency
  • Contribute to development and sustainability of R&A Target Operating Model.
  • Define and refine logic rules and assign appropriate severity level to help develop control checks for end-to-end data integrity
  • Review and enhance regulatory reporting system logics to align with regulatory guidance
  • Project manage for logic rule and reporting rule development to ensure quick time-to-market
  • Design appropriate testing plan to minimize impact of false positive or false negatives
  • Maintain issue log, review and prioritize strategic remediation based on issue scorecard
  • Propose, implement and document compensating controls for regulatory reporting
  • Develop and run reports for impact assessment and adjustments
  • Manage internal and regulatory inquiries, Internal Audit and regulatory exam as the primary for coverage portfolios, back up teammates on others
  • Collaborate in regulatory change management with RRIO, Risk, Finance from interpretation to implementation
  • Effectively communicate and coordinate implementation, act as R&A SME to support business, Risk and Finance
  • Support the development and implementation of best-in-class Data Quality management policies, procedures, and capabilities.
  • Scope and provide business requirements to technology for DQ remediation from SOR to reporting based on root cause analysis
  • Draft business requirement for development of analytical capabilities and R&A adjustment workflow
  • Collaborate with Product Development on implementation and deployment

Qualifications

  • Dedication and ability to quickly develop wholesale credit and legal document review knowledge over work assignment will be supported by comprehensive on-the-job training. Prior working knowledge of wholesale lending document and US regulatory reporting (e.g. FR-Y14Q, Y-9C and 2052a) is nice to have, but not a must.
  • Working knowledge of traditional data analytics tools (Excel, commercial BI tools) and hands-on experience with artificial intelligence technique, preferably in financial or other industry
  • Demonstrated self-learning, analytical and problem-solving skills to take on complex problem and drive or support resolution
  • A team player who will collaborate and challenge the peers as well as counterparts in front office, Risk and reporting
  • Ability to communicated succinctly and clearly
  • Working knowledge to support technology development
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in the financial services, legal or other regulated industry, with preference of previous wholesale credit and regulatory reporting.
  • Experience with SQL and Tableau required
  • Education

  • Bachelor's / University degree or equivalent experience
  • Accounting, Data Science, Finance preferred
