POSITION SUMMARY

We are pleased to offer the opportunity to work within the DuPage County Stormwater Management Department as a Project Engineer.

Hybrid work schedule is available upon completion of a 6-month probationary period and supervisor approval.

• Oversees the investigation, development, and design of a variety ofstormwaterprojects.
• Reviews studies, reports, plans and specifications for proposedstormwater management projects.
• Works with unincorporated residents Countywide to resolve localized drainage concerns.
• Resolves issues or problems that may arise during the planning, design,or constructionof a project.
• Oversees work performed by consultants or assigned staff on a wide variety of projects.
• Oversees a variety of stormwater management and drainage construction projects.
• Provides leadership and technical support to Civil Engineers, Engineering Technicians,and Stormwater Maintenance Crewin daily work assignments and reviewing work completed.
• Represents the County with governmental jurisdictions, consultants and the general public on engineering matters.
• Ensures that proposed improvements are locally coordinated.
• Preparation of various documents for the procurement of consultant servicesand public bids.
• Prepares written correspondence or gives presentations to various municipalities or County Board Committees.
• Other duties as assigned by the Stormwater Management Department.
