Job description
Responsible for root cause analysis and resolution of denials, the full-time Patient Accounting Denials Specialist will perform A/R follow-up, submit appeals, and provide necessary documentation to insurance companies while working remotely from New Mexico. Key responsibilities Perform denial follow-up activities for assigned payors utilizing work queues Submit corrected claims, reconsiderations, and/or appeals to overturn denials Document accounts in accordance with established policies and procedures Required qualifications High school degree or GED required, with short-term training in insurance collections and claims processing Minimum two years of experience in insurance follow-up, billing, and collections Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively via telephone and in writing Strong work ethic with the ability to work effectively in a team environment Ability to prioritize and manage a high-volume workload in a fast-paced environment
