Heavy Equipment Operator

We are seeking adaptable Heavy Equipment Operators to join our growing team. These positions involve the operation of heavy equipment including but not limited to excavators, dozers, haul trucks, backhoes, and wheel loaders. The Equipment Operators will primarily work on project site in Hazleton, PA. A successful candidate should possess a positive attitude and at least one year of prior experience operating heavy equipment.

Essential Functions

• Operates heavy equipment with earth moving capabilities (70,000lbs minimum) in a safe and effective manner.
• Operate bulldozer and / or excavator with or without GPS technology
• Properly follows company and OSHA safety procedures.
• Performs routine inspection and preventive maintenance on equipment and reports defects or needed repairs to the foreman and / or superintendent.
• Ensures compliance with company control standards and procedures.
• Perform manual labor such as digging, shoveling, assisting with placement of pipe and material or other manual labor duties as assigned.
• Proactively communicates with foreman, superintendent and coworkers.
• Promotes teamwork that increases productivity and efficiency.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
