Small Cell - Level III Technician

POSITION TITLE : Level III Technician, Small Cell CLASSIFICATION : Non-Exempt POSITION OVERVIEW : ADB is a Nationwide full turnkey provider of technology infrastructure solutions including Wireline, Wireless, Technology, and Engineering. ADB is seeking a Level III Technician, Small Cell to perform the installation of power and communication cable on new and existing utility and light poles throughout the United States. This position will work in and around bucket trucks. The ideal candidate will be safety focused, customer and quality centric, with a strong work ethic and ALL IN attitude. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : Proficient-level ability to install radios, base station equipment, conduit, DC power wiring and fiber optic cables on utility poles or at the base of utility pole Proficient-level ability to install and test low voltage DC power wiring and fiber optic cables Expert-level knowledge of print reading Proficient-level ability to take pre and post construction photos for construction closeout packages Connects and rearranges cable facilities associated with aerial, buried, underground and in buildings according to engineering design by utilizing hand tools and specialized equipment Proficient- level ability to install base station equipment and fiber jumpers in network hub buildings Proficient-level ability to utilize an OTDR to test and troubleshoot fiber optic cable installs Ability to perform work at heights of 50ft tall or less on utility poles Ability to safely operate a bucket truck, install and test cellular RF cabling and antennas Installs RF cabling, radios and antennas along with associated power, fiber and signal cabling. Independently sets up and shuts down utility construction projects including traffic control in various conditions including highways, side streets, parking lots, downtown locations, etc. Safety is the expectation, always follows the required safety practices while performing safety sensitive duties Performs other position duties when requested SUCCESS FACTORS : A strong belief in ZERO- Being Safe 100% of the time is the expectation Alignment with company mission, vision, and values Strong work ethic with an ALL IN attitude Strong team player with the ability to adapt to diverse team members Ability to perform in a fast paced / high volume environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills Detail Oriented- a high level of attention to detail is required A high level of time management, accountability, and prioritization skills Self-motivated, goal- oriented, and driven to accomplish department goals Ability to be organized, problem solve, and be solution oriented Ability to support a fast paced, demanding work schedule; could include late evenings and / or weekends when requested Ability to be up 50 ft in the air and can lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis Expert knowledge of utilization of common small hand tools including but not limited to : wrenches, drills, screw drivers Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (outlook, word, excel, etc.) WORK ENVIRONMENT : Must be able to work in a variety of physical positions, like sitting, squatting, standing, walking and driving Must endure regular exposure to all weather conditions, including hot, cold, humid, and rainy during all seasons throughout the year May be exposed to uncomfortable or distracting sounds or noise levels on sites of projects being managed or coordinated Must wear common protective safety equipment, such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hats and high visible vest when working on-site EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION : Minimum 2 year’s experience with small cell or aerial operations required OSHA 10 Certification preferred Experience operating a bucket truck is preferred First Aid / CPR Certification preferred RF Awareness Training preferred High School diploma or equivalent required The starting pay for this position is $26.00 and may vary based on the candidate's skills, experience, and qualifications.
