Job description
Are you a seasoned multitasker with a passion for organization and a compassionate spirit? This vibrant and welcoming practice is seeking an experienced Optician or Optical Sales Associate to elevate our patients' 5-star experience while ensuring the office operates seamlessly. In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to collaborate across all departments and make a significant contribution to our community's mission of delivering exceptional patient care. Responsibilities: Welcome patients and customers with warmth and professionalism, ensuring they feel comfortable, valued, and excited about their eyewear choices. Manage incoming and outgoing calls, skillfully handling appointment scheduling, product inquiries, and eyewear order questions. Demonstrate empathy, active listening, and strong product knowledge to understand visual needs and recommend frames, lenses, and lens enhancements that best suit each patient's lifestyle and budget. Support front office and optical operations by preparing patient profiles, updating records, and assisting with opening and closing tasks. Maintain optical inventory, including frames, lenses, and accessories, and place orders as needed to ensure product availability and attractive merchandising. Spend dedicated time with patients in the optical, guiding frame selection, taking accurate measurements (such as pupillary distance and segment heights), and reviewing lens options and coatings. Accurately document eyewear orders, verify prescriptions, coordinate with labs, and ensure timely, precise processing of all optical transactions. Engage in ongoing cross-training in both front desk and optical functions to foster personal and professional growth within the practice.
