Job description

SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Construction Lead to join our in-house team specializing in apartment interior remodeling. This role is ideal for individuals with hands-on experience in renovations, remodeling, or property maintenance who take pride in delivering high-quality workmanship. Each day presents unique challenges, requiring the ability to prioritize, multitask, think strategically, take initiative, and adapt to diverse tasks. Whether you have 3-4 years of direct remodeling experience or 5-7 years in property maintenance, this is an excellent opportunity to expand your leadership skills in a stable yet rapidly growing company.

This is a REMOTE role that must ideally reside in Honolulu, HI or the surrounding metroplex.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform hands-on renovation tasks, including demolition, cabinet installation, door hardware replacement, drywall work, and finish carpentry.
  • Install plumbing and electrical fixtures, ensuring all work meets quality and code compliance standards.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for laborers, sub-contractors, and on-site staff, addressing challenges and ensuring efficient project progress.
  • Conduct quality control checks on completed tasks, ensuring alignment with project plans and company standards.
  • Guide and mentor laborers, providing on-the-job training and ensuring adherence to proper techniques and safety procedures.
  • Oversee the proper use, maintenance, and storage of tools, equipment, and materials, conducting monthly equipment checks.
  • Communicate project updates, material needs, and laborer performance feedback to the Construction Manager.

  • 3+ years’ experience working in interior residential construction or related field.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to multiple sites required.
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools, construction materials, and measuring devices.
  • Ability to read blueprints, use a tape measure accurately, and perform basic math calculations (including fractions and decimals).
