We are seeking a highly experienced Sr. Electrical or Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Engineer with extensive nuclear power plant experience to lead complex capital projects and modernization initiatives. This critical role is part of our expanding portfolio of large-scale electrical and I&C upgrade projects including analog system replacements digital control implementations and plant modernization efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead electrical and I&C capital projects such as power system upgrades control system modernizations legacy equipment replacements and digital system implementations
- Design and implement electrical and I&C system modifications including safety-related upgrades and plant control system integrations
- Manage complex system modifications across vendors disciplines and legacy / modern system interfaces while ensuring nuclear safety and regulatory compliance
- Coordinate project execution involving operations engineering vendors and regulatory bodies; serve as the single point of contact for technical issues
- Oversee vendor technical deliverables ensuring design integrity testing protocols and seamless integration
- Apply NEI Standard Design Process and nuclear configuration management for compliant modifications
- Provide technical oversight on cybersecurity for digital systems network segmentation and regulatory compliance
- Mentor engineering teams on nuclear electrical / I&C principles modern digital technologies and change processes
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering I&C Engineering or related disciplineMinimum 8 years nuclear power plant experience including 6 years in nuclear design and operationsProven leadership of large capital projects ($5M) involving multiple stakeholders and regulatory interfacesStrong understanding of nuclear electrical and I&C systems (power distribution control systems instrumentation protection)Knowledge of NEI Standard Design Process and nuclear design change controlExperience with digital platforms like DCS PLC systems and digital controllers preferredProfessional Engineering (PE) license preferredExcellent technical leadership communication and stakeholder coordination skillsPreferred Qualifications
