CVOR RN Job Details

Location : Washington, DC 20010 (prime location for DC nursing jobs)

Assignment Length : 13 weeks

Start Date : November 24, 2025

End Date : February 23, 2026

Shifts : 3x12-hour shifts per week (Day : 06 : 30-19 : 00 or Evening : 11 : 00-23 : 30)

Hours per Week : 36

Estimated Weekly Pay : $2,130 - $2,280

On-Call / Weekend : 6 on-call shifts per 6-week schedule; one weekend or holiday per 6-week schedule

Parking : On-campus parking available

CVOR Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active DC RN license (pending accepted if applied; must have license prior to start)

BLS and ACLS certifications required

Minimum 2 years of recent CVOR RN experience, including circulating and Level 1 trauma experience

Completion of at least one prior travel nursing assignment

Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)

Ability to float to general surgery if no cardiac cases

Experience with Cerner charting system preferred

Two supervisor references required

CVOR RN Responsibilities

Circulate and assist in complex cardiovascular and thoracic surgical procedures, including CABG, valve replacements, LVAD, transplants, and endovascular cases

Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a Level 1 trauma environment

Float to general surgery as needed

Participate in on-call rotation and provide coverage for weekends or holidays as scheduled

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, radiology, pharmacy, and support staff

Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner (preferred)

Comply with all facility policies, vaccination requirements, and safety protocols
